WIFI HOTSPOT IN UBUNTU(K-Fon)

Steps For Creating Wifi Hotspot In Ubuntu

OPTION 1

1. Ensure ethernet cable is connected from laptop ethernet port to MODEM port of KFON Device.

2. Ensure the internet is available on the PC.

3. Download WiFi_Hotspot.zip from the below link

4. Right click on WiFi_Hotspot.zip file click on “Extract Here”

5. Open extracted folder and double click on install.sh file and click on “Run in terminal”

(Please note that the install.sh file should have “Allow executing file as a program” Permission as shown in the below figure)

6.Now the program will be installed.

7. After completion of successful installation shortcuts for creating and deleting hotspot

will show under Accessories menu.

Click on “ Create Wifi Hotspot” it will ask the name for wifi Hotspot, enter desired name.

then it will ask for password then enter a password with minimum 8 character

( Please note down this name and password)

Now the hotspot is ready for share on other laptops.

Now from other laptops search for wifi and enter a password.

For deleting wifi hotspot click on “Delete wifi Hotspot” from the menu.

OPTION 2

1. Download the script from below link

2. Unzip the file

3. run/execute the create_wifi_hotspot.sh script in Terminal.

4.Click on “ Create Wifi Hotspot” it will ask the name for wifi Hotspot, enter desired name.

then it will ask for password then enter a password with minimum 8 character

( Please note down this name and password)

Now the hotspot is ready for share on other laptops.
